„Medial painting – the digital spirit of the age in pictures“I use the computer as painting tool: originals are photographed, then processed in the computer and printed out as a new composition, with each subject having its point of emphasis. The technical sophistication of printing allows me to realise the image conceived digitally in the computer on such specially selected materials as plexiglass, aluminium, or another metal. Using non-traditional means I evoke insights that one would scarcely associate with “brush on painting surface”.

„Seasons“ - that is the title the Swiss painter JOHannaS chose for her art book and thus she very sensitively unites two art genres: lyric poetry as well as plastic arts - however in her own very special way. While generally pictures appearing in literature are always intended to enrich the text, it is just the opposite here: the lyric poetry solely serves to deepen the impression the painting tranports, to intensify the aethetical pleasure. That means it is not the task of natural lyric to explain the pictures, but to form a more or less rational frame for interpretations and association - one experimetn more, which became a great success for JOHannaS. - Dr. Claus-Peter Böhner
