Medial painting – the digital spirit of the age in pictures

Usinge the computer as painting tool I apply different technices. The "Photopaintings" which they are called are either: originals photographed, then processed in the computer and printed out as a new composition or photos and drawings digitalized and processed to a sort of digital collage, where each subject is having its point of emphasis. The technical sophistication of printing allows me to realise the image conceived digitally in the computer on such specially selected materials as plexiglass, aluminium, or another metal. Using non-traditional means I evoke insights that one would scarcely associate with “brush on painting surface”.
